Project summary Interactive applications like 3D digital twins in the IoT/IIoT industries and Industry 4.0, interactive 3D product configurators in Configure Price Quote (CPQ) industry, 3D simulation, training, educational and entertainment applications can benefit from cloud based 3D rendering and simulation, including simpler transparent upgrading of complex content without long loading times, easier media integration, better performance independent from the capabilities of the end-user device. Basing such applications on Service Oriented Interactive Media (SOIM) engine architectures and the Windows Media Foundation (WMF) often allows higher performance and lower cloud hosting costs by multi-layered data sharing, efficiently handling data, video and audio channels and smart user session and session slot management. The goal of these experiments on the Fed4FIRE infrastructure is analysing the deployment and performance characteristics of such applications. Based on a specific 3D digital twin test scenario from the IoT/IioT/I4.0 industry, research questions include deployment details like KVM packaging with high-performance GPU access for SOIM and WMF based applications, and initial performance measurements. Description of the data Python code, shell scripts and explanatipons for automatic deployment.</description><identifier>https://zenodo.org/record/3754041</identifier><identifier>10.5281/zenodo.3754041</identifier><identifier>oai:zenodo.org:3754041</identifier><language>eng</language><relation>info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/EC/H2020/732638/</relation><relation>doi:10.5281/zenodo.3754040</relation><rights>info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess</rights><rights>https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/legalcode</rights><subject>Fed4FIRE, SOI-TWIN, digital twins, IoT, IIoT, Industry 4.0, CPQ, Service Oriented Interactive Media, SOIM</subject><title>Fed4FIRE SOI-TWIN Spinor</title><type>Other:info:eu-repo/semantics/other</type><type>Other:software</type><recordID>3754041</recordID></dc>
