- On their advanced search pages search engines usually offer date restricted searches. But there are problems in determining the actual date information of a web page. We investigate date restricted searches on Google, Teoma and Yahoo. We find that these engines perform poorly on this kind of search. We offer some explanation for this and give an outlook on techniques that could help solve the problem.
