Dikarenakan materi yang disampaikan masih bersifat konvensional tanpa mendapatkan informasi yang teraktual dan pembelajaran didominasi oleh guru, sehingga pembelajaran berpusat pada guru. Dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa melalui model pembelajaran inkuiri. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data diskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga siklus. Instrumen yang digunakan lembar observasi, tes dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan keterampilan berpikir kritis mengalami peningkatan di setiap siklusnya dan memenuhi indikator keberhasilan. Kata Kunci: IPS, keterampilan berpikir kritis, model pembelajaran inkuiri. Abstract: The research was based on students' lack of critical thinking skills. Due to the material presented is still conventional without getting the actual information and learning dominated by the teacher, so it made teacher-centered learning. With the purpose to know the increasing of students' critical thinking skills through inquiry learning model. This research is a classroom action research using descriptive qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. This research consists of three cycles. The Instruments that used was observayion, test sheets and questionnaires. The results research showd that the student’s ability of critical thinking skills has increased in each cycle and fulfill the success indicator.
