Kartini who tried hard to provide capital and to run the project and also facilited the education to increase their performance in producing wood craft. Second, Chinese people introduced the arts of carpenter and the harmonic relationship between indogenous carpenters and entrepreneurs with Chinese carpenters and en&#xC2;&#xAC;trepreneurs (eenthough there was a competition between them). While the problems faced the indegenous carpenters and entrepreneurs were capital, raw materials, labour and marketing. Despite the problems, Jepara Ukir Wood craft industry developed markedly, even it seemed to be unaffected by the Indonesian economic crisis. The development of Jepara as seeport town to become Jepara as trading town, was promoted by the development of Jepara Ukir Wood Craft itself that cannot be excluded from the Chinese carpenters and entrepreneurs. Chinese have been known since long time ago as a good carpenters and entrepre&#xC2;&#xAC;neurs. Supported with the strong capital and their capability to produce better goods, their products were very favourable for European people, hence their products were exported to Europe. While indogenous products were rough and unaccepted by international market. Competition cannot be avoided, but did not develop to be a conflict. Fortunately, latter development a harmonic relationship between them was built, and indogenous product can also be exported abroad. Production of Jepara Ukir Wood Craft contin&#xC2;&#xAC;ued to grow leading to the shifting of Jepara as seaport town to be Jepara as Trading town and then as industry town.
