Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejarah danperkembangan orkes simfoni di Indonesia. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori sosialPierre Bourdieu mengenai &#x201D;habitus&#x201D; dan &#x201D;pembentukan kelas&#x201D;.&#xA0;Jakarta Symphony Orchestra on Bourdieu&#x2019;s Habitus Perspective. This articlemainly discusses the habitus of symphony orchestra and the players according toBourdieu&#x2019;s habitus perspective. The symphony orchestra as a habitus has already takenplace in Indonesia. The journey was influenced by the changes in the surroundingconditions and the supporting orchestra players. This articlewill describe the existenceof the symphony orchestra since the 1950s to its condition lately.
