This is shown by many students get less value than the strandard value in the elementary school. It happened because the method / models in the study was less. The purpose of this research is to improve students&#x2019; writing skill. Methods in this research is classroom action research (CAR). Subject in this research were the fourth grade SDN 1 Suntenjaya. And data was collected by test ang field notes. Based on field notes, showed that students gave a possitive attitude to the method that used. Students were enthusiastic in the learning with methode of mind mapping. because they can use colors and pictures. The result making the outline of narrative essay is cycle I 2,02, cycle II 2,82, and cycle III 2,87. The narrative essay assesment result is cycle I 64,36. Cycle II 72,82, and in the cyrcle III is 83,02. Based on this results that the application of the mind mapping method can improve students&#x2019; narrative essay writing skills.
