Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui relevansi DKL terhadap KD. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah Desain Kegiatan Laboratorium konsep pencemaran lingkungan yang digunakan oleh guru biologi SMA di Kota Bandung dan diambil dengan purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar DKL pencemaran lingkungan telah mencapai tuntutan KD. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari tujuan praktikum yang mengacu pada indikator hasil penjabaran KD. Sebagian besar langkah prosedural dapat dikerjakan, relevan dengan tujuan praktikum, memunculkan object/event yang sesuai dengan pertanyaan fokus, dan dapat menjadi dasar dalam pembentukan knowledge claim. Pertanyaan praktikum pada DKL sebagian besar dapat terjawab berdasarkan data hasil kegiatan laboratorium, mengarahkan pada pembentukkan knowledge claim serta membantu siswa dalam mengaitkan pengetahuan yang telah dimilikinya dengan fakta yang diamati.&#xD; Kata kunci: relevansi, desain kegiatan laboratorium, kompetensi dasar, pencemaran lingkungan.&#xD; Background of this study was the importance of the laboratory activity design that relevant with Basic Competence to develop competency according with the demands of the curriculum. Purpose of this study was to know the relevance of the laboratory activity design with Basic Competency. Sample of this study were laboratory activity design with environment pollution concept which used by biology teacher of Senior high school in Bandung City and taken with purposive sampling method. The result showed that majority of environment pollution laboratory activity design reached Basic Competency demands. Practical purpose refered into results of the elaboration of indicators of Basic competency. Most of procedure could be done,appropiate to practical purpose, could show object/event that relevant to focus questions, and could be a basic of formation knowledge claim.
