Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quassy Experimental dengan desain Pretest-Posttest Group Design. Instrumen menggunakan soal pemahaman konsep dengan test kinerja, dan angket respon siswa pada media bioplastik, serta angket respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran menggunakan media bioplastik. Pengolahan data dihitung berdasarkan jumlah jawaban benar dan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dihitung dengan N-Gain, untuk angket dihitung persentase jawaban yang dipilih siswa. Berdasarkan data hasil penelitian, pengolahan data, analisis dan pembahasan yang telah dilakukan mengenai penggunaan media bioplastik terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa, penggunaaan media bioplastik dalam pemahaman konsep siswa memperoleh hasil dengan kategori baik sangat baik 28%, baik 13%, cukup 35% dan kurang sekali sebesar 24%, dengan indikator identifikasi memperoleh persentase tertinggi sebesar 41%. Penggunaan media bioplastik dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan peningkatan gain ternormalisasi sebesar 0,57 dengan kategori sedang. Nilai persentase gain tertinggi terdapat pada indikator C1 ( identifikasi) sebesar 0,62 dengan kategori sedang, sedangkan nilai persentase gain terendah diperoleh oleh indikator C2 (intepretasi) sebesar 0,50 dengan kategori sedang. Indikator C2 (klasifikasi) memperoleh gain sebesar 0,54 dengan kategori sedang.&#xD; &#xD; Kata kunci : media bioplastik, pemahaman konsep, hasil belajar&#xD; &#xD; A study of &#x201C;the using of Bioplastics to enhance the student understanding of the plant reproduction system&#x201D; was done. Based on the research data, data processing, analysis, and discussion of using media bioplastic towards students&#x2019; understanding, shown that using of media bioplastic may improved the understanding of the student&#x2019;s concept obtain the excellent results by 28%, good by 13%, fair by 35% and less by 24%, with the highest percentage of observation indicator by 41%. The Using of bioplastic media could improved learning outcomes by increasing student normalized gain up to 0.57 (medium category). Identification is the the indicator of conceptual understanding that obtained the highest percentage gain value (N gain =0.62 as medium category). while the lowest value of gain percentage obtained by the indicator of C2 (interpretation) of 0.50 medium category.
