- The S. obtusata / elliptica group The Strandesia obtusata / elliptica group is composed of six species, Strandesia obtusata, Strandesia lansactohai, Strandesia velhoi, Strandesia nupelia, Strandesia tolimensis and Strandesia nakatanii nov. sp. These species share, with some degree of variation, similarities in the shape of valves and size.
