Material examined. 1 preadult male, 7.2 mm (St. 8: grab sampling; 12 &#xB0;05.273&#xB4;S, 13 &#xB0; 42.047&#xB4;E) Remarks. Our single preadult male was slightly shorter than the type material from the Ivory Coast, but it matches well with the original description. Our preadult male carries one plumose seta dorsally on the fourth pedigerous somite and three plumose setae on the fifth pedigerous somite (Fig 13 A). The antenna 2 reaches to the third pedigerous somite. Pereopod 1 dactyl and propodus are of same length, whereas the dactyl was much shorter as the propodus in the holotype. The appearance of dorsal and dorso-lateral ridges differs slightly between the individuals from Angola and from Ivory Coast. A diagonal lateral ridge, as formed in adult male, is lacking in our preadult male and in the adult female. The eye of the preadult male consists of four small lenses. The uropods match well with the original description. The armature of peduncle and rami of the preadult male (Fig. 13 C) differs only slightly from that of the adult female. The preadult male lacks plumose setae on the endopod distally to the third spine. It differs slightly in the appearance of the exopod. The posterior inner edge of the exopod is incised and carries one serrated seta which reaches the tip of the terminal seta. Distribution. Angola, Ivory Coast; 19&#x2013;35 m</description><description>Published as part of Bochert, Ralf &amp; Zettler, Michael L., 2011, Cumacea from the continental shelf of Angola and Namibia with descriptions of new species, pp. 1-33 in Zootaxa 2978 on pages 18-19, DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.200990</description><identifier>https://zenodo.org/record/5617831</identifier><identifier>10.5281/zenodo.5617831</identifier><identifier>oai:zenodo.org:5617831</identifier><relation>info:eu-repo/semantics/altIdentifier/url/http://treatment.plazi.org/id/E274752B3862FFB33BE62ECEFD5DD6AB</relation><relation>doi:10.5281/zenodo.200990</relation><relation>url:http://publication.plazi.org/id/1E4D0D533873FFA13B712B2CFFE6D65C</relation><relation>doi:10.5281/zenodo.201003</relation><relation>url:http://zoobank.org/E01D1689-F97B-4C54-8DF0-BE8EF7EAEE43</relation><relation>doi:10.5281/zenodo.5617830</relation><relation>url:https://zenodo.org/communities/biosyslit</relation><rights>info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess</rights><source>Cumacea from the continental shelf of Angola and Namibia with descriptions of new species, pp. 1-33 in Zootaxa 2978 18-19</source><subject>Biodiversity</subject><subject>Taxonomy</subject><subject>Animalia</subject><subject>Arthropoda</subject><subject>Malacostraca</subject><subject>Cumacea</subject><subject>Bodotriidae</subject><subject>Eocuma</subject><subject>Eocuma cochlear</subject><title>Eocuma cochlear LeLoeuff &amp; Intes 1972</title><type>Other:info:eu-repo/semantics/other</type><type>Other:publication-taxonomictreatment</type><recordID>5617831</recordID></dc>
