The P-T structure also governs its spectral signatures, when remotely observed. In this work I will present a planet specific library of radiative-convective equilibrium P-T profiles and the corresponding equilibrium chemical abundances, transmission and emission spectra, for a range of hot Jupiter exoplanet atmospheres. I will show how adopting different condensation approaches and opacities can result in substantial differences in the P-T profiles and thereby the model spectra. I will also show the effect of varying recirculation factor, metallicity and C/O ratio on the P-T profiles and the spectra, along-with identifying key molecules in the spectra. I will demonstrate the application of this grid to constrain the P-T structure of the exoplanet atmospheres, using WASP-121b HST data as the test case and in the future using JWST. Finally, this grid can be useful to identify best targets for transmission and emission spectroscopy using JWST and also provide a base to compare model predictions with observations, which can be valuable to identify missing physical and chemical processes in our current understanding of these far away worlds.</description><identifier>https://zenodo.org/record/3524622</identifier><identifier>10.5281/zenodo.3524622</identifier><identifier>oai:zenodo.org:3524622</identifier><relation>doi:10.5281/zenodo.3524621</relation><relation>url:https://zenodo.org/communities/bdexocon-oct2014</relation><rights>info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess</rights><rights>https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/legalcode</rights><subject>Exoplanet Atmospheres</subject><subject>Brown Dwarfs</subject><subject>Astronomy</subject><subject>Astrophysics</subject><title>A Library of Self-consistent Simulated Exoplanet Atmospheres</title><type>Other:info:eu-repo/semantics/lecture</type><type>Journal:Proceeding</type><recordID>3524622</recordID></dc>

contents The weather and climate of a planetary atmosphere is governed by its pressure-temperature (P-T) structure. The P-T structure also governs its spectral signatures, when remotely observed. I will demonstrate the application of this grid to constrain the P-T structure of the exoplanet atmospheres, using WASP-121b HST data as the test case and in the future using JWST. Finally, this grid can be useful to identify best targets for transmission and emission spectroscopy using JWST and also provide a base to compare model predictions with observations, which can be valuable to identify missing physical and chemical processes in our current understanding of these far away worlds.
