El alfar de Las Cogotas (Cardeñosa, Ávila): una mirada etnoarqueológica y experimental. Arqueología y Territorio 8: 115-128

Thanks to these fieldworks carried out during those years, it was documented the unique pottery production center of the vetton world that we know at the moment. Avoiding an only interpretation of pottery products as objects and thinking of the social values of a specific community can be appreciate, not only by the final pottery product, but also all over each one of the phase involved in the production process, I have worked on a detailed etnoarchaeological study about the different steps developed in the manual process in Las Cogotas pottery, from the acquisition of the raw material till the final product. The beginning of this research has promoted the development of some experimental works, which have permitted to advance with complex process of pottery manufacture characteristic of those societies. The presence of the umbo, a particular pottery decoration connected to the celtiberian tradition, could be considered as a good example.</description><description>Gracias a las labores de excavaci&#xF3;n realizadas entre 1986 y 1990 en el oppidum de Las Cogotas, pudo ser documentado el &#xFA;nico complejo alfarero que conocemos hasta el d&#xED;a de hoy en el mundo vett&#xF3;n. Gracias a las labores de excavación realizadas entre 1986 y 1990 en el oppidum de Las Cogotas, pudo ser documentado el único complejo alfarero que conocemos hasta el día de hoy en el mundo vettón. Evitando una interpretación de los objetos y teniendo en cuenta que los caracteres sociales de una comunidad concreta pueden apreciarse en los niveles productivos, han sido realizados estudios etnoarqueológicos y experimentales pormenorizados de la secuencia de fases desarrolladas a lo largo del proceso manual en el alfar de Las Cogotas, desde el momento de obtención de la materia prima hasta la consecución del producto final.
