Peristiwa konfrontasi berdasarkan wawancara para saksi dan pelaku yang merupakan penduduk asli Sebatik. Dalam penelitian ini memperlihatkan Orang Tidung sebagai penduduk asli Sebatik merekonstruksi kehidupan mereka sebelum, di saat, dan sesudah konfrontasi. Sebagai masyarakat perbatasan, mereka tidak menginginkan adanya konfrontasi, namun dikarenakan tugas negara mereka pun mau tidak mau harus terlibat di dalamnya. Semangat nasionalisme ternyata lebih besar daripada latar belakang mereka sebagai masyarakat perbatasan yang kehidupannya bergantung dari wilayah negara lain.
<hr>This thesis discusses the events of Indonesian confrontation with Malaysia in the year 1962-1966 in Sebatik using oral history methods. The events of confrontation based on interviews of witnesses and perpetrators who are natives of Sebatik. In this research shows people as a native Tidung Sebatik reconstruct their lives before, during, and after the confrontation. As a border community, they do not like confrontation, but because the duty of the state they would not want to be involved in it. The spirit of nationalism was far larger than their background as a frontier society whose lives depend on the territory of another country.</description><identifier>https://lib.ui.ac.id/detail?id=20251680</identifier><recordID>20251680</recordID></dc>
