- [<b>ABSTRAK</b><br> Material pipa baja karbon API 5L grade B dalam industri minyak dan gas banyak digunakan pada pipa penyalur dengan tekanan operasi dan suhu yang cukup tinggi, terutama pada jalur distribusi gas dan uap dimana saat operasionalnya sering terjadi kerusakan yang diakibatkan korosi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan analisis indeks korosi menggunakan metoda manajemen resiko terhadap pipa jalur distribusi gas pada area produksi gas berdasarkan nilai index sum dan menganalisis perilaku korosi sampel pipa API 5L Grade B berupa struktur mikro, perubahan sifat mekanik, dan perubahan komposisi kimia pada pipa yang terkorosi. Hasil memperlihatkan bahwa pipa API 5L grade yang digunakan sebagai jalur distribusi gas pada area produksi gas ditemukan adanya cacat atau kemunduran bahan pipa dan memiliki resiko pada skala medium (medium risk). Analisis komposisi kimia pada sample pipa API 5L grade B menunjukkan bahwa didalam bahan terdapat kandungan oksigen yang tinggi (range 20 ? 30 %) sebagai pembentuk besi oksida jika bereaksi dengan logam besi (Fe). <hr> <b>Abstract</b><br> Carbon steel pipe material API 5L grade B commonly used for distribution of gas and vapour high pressure and temperature pipeline in oil and gas industry, it is often happened of damage caused by corrosion process. This research has been performed by analyzed of corrosion index using risk management method at gas pipeline distribution in gas production area based on index sum value and results study for corrosion process of pipe API 5L grade B sample has been developed of microstructure, mechanic denaturing, and change of chemical composition at pipe corrosion. Result is showing that pipe API 5L grade applied as distribution line of gas at production gas area is found existence of deformity or deterioration of pipe material and has risk at medium scale (medium risk).
