Keberadaan buku KIA bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan aksesibilitas
pelayanan KIA. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui sejauh mana peran
kepemilikan buku KIA terhadap pemanfaatan layanan persalinan oleh tenaga
kesehatan di Kabupaten Garut Jawa Barat tahun 2016. Penelitian menggunakan
desain cross sectional, pada sampel 200 ibu yang mempunyai bayi usia 0-24
bulan secara random sederhana proporsional dengan melihat daftar ibu dalam
buku kohort ibu periode tahun 2014 dan 2015. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan
bahwa kepemilikan Buku KIA berperan positif terhadap pemanfaatan layanan
persalinan setelah dikontrol oleh variabel pendidikan, status ekonomi,
kepercayaan terhadap dukun paraji, jarak ke fasilitas kesehatan, dan kualitas
pelayanan kesehatan, dimana ibu yang memiliki Buku KIA berisiko 4.6 kali untuk
bersalin oleh tenaga kesehatan dibanding ibu yang memiliki Buku KIA. Perlu
adanya peningkatan pengadaan buku KIA, kualitas pelayanan ANC,
mengefektifkan tim bina wilayah serta kemitraan bidan paraji.

<b>ABSTRACT</b><br>
The existence of Mother Child Health (MCH) Handbook aims to increase
knowledge and service accessibility of child and maternal heatlh. The purpose of
this research was to determine MCH handbook ownership role towards utilization
of delivery care by health professionals in Garut District West Java, 2016. The
research using cross sectional design, with 200 samples of the mother with infant
aged 0-24 months old, proportional randomly by seeing the list of mothers in
kohort book period 2014 and 2015. The result showed that the ownership of MCH
handbook has a positive role towards utilization of delivery care by health
professionals after being controlled by the education variable, economic status,
credence to a traditional birth attendant, the distance to health facility, and health
service quality, which the mother who have MCH Handbook risk at 4.6 points for
delivering by heatlh professionals than the mother who do not have MCH
Handbook. To increase the procurement of MCH Handbook, ANC service
quality, streamline fasilitative supervision, effective team building area, also
