Masyarakat membutuhkan informasi yang cepat dan informatif melalui media yang semakin beragam bukan hanya pada bentuk koran cetak saja melainkan berkembang ke dalam bentuk digital dan mobile, seperti pada media online melalui internet, radio, PDA, mobile phone, TV digital maupun pesan singkat seperti SMS dan MMS. Penerbit koran tradisional dituntut untuk adaptif terhadap kemajuan teknologi informasi dan digital sehingga perlu melakukan transformasi konten dari monomedia menjadi multiple media content. Selain itu perlu juga melakukan konvergensi berita dengan menggabungkan kekuatan cetak, mobile dan internet untuk memberikan pelayanan informasi yang cepat dan beragam kepada pelanggannya. Sistem manajemen konten berbasis opensource bisa menjadi solusi di dalam mengembangkan sistem editorial yang mendukung penerbitan multi-channel dengan melakukan pemilihan teknologi yang tepat yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan. Hasil dari kajian yang penulis lakukan adalah sebuah model perancangan sistem editorial yang mendukung multi-channel publishing dengan menggunakan sistem manajemen konten berbasis opensource.

The progress and development of current digital technology have changed public's behavior in acquiring information. The public needs prompt and useful information through varieties of media, which are not just limited to newspaper but also expand into digital and mobile forms. The later are online media through internet, radio, digital TV and even short/multimedia message services (SMS, MMS). Traditional newspaper publishers are required to adapt to IT and digital advancements. They need to transform their mono media contents into multiple media contents. Besides that, they also need to combine printing, mobile and internet capabilities to serve rapid and diverse information to deliver news to their customers. Content management system based on open-source can be a solution in developing editorial system that supports the multi-channel publishing. The appropriate technology is chosen by evaluating the requirements. Result of this research is a design model of editorial system to support multi-channel publishing by utilizing open-source-based content management systems.</description><identifier>https://lib.ui.ac.id/detail?id=126262</identifier><recordID>126262</recordID></dc>
