usia (lansia) meningkat 30% di tahun 2011 dibandingkan tahun 2010. Tujuan
penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui prevalens dan hubungan faktor-faktor
determinan dengan kejadian DM pada lansia. Desain yang digunakan pada
penelitian ini adalah cross sectional dengan menggunakan data sekunder di Poli
Lansia Puskesmas Jatinegara. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan prevalens DM yang
tinggi pada lansia yaitu 26,8%. Hasil analisis menunjukan ada hubungan yang
signifikan (p value=0,003) antara kegemukan dengan DM (PR= 3,348).
Sedangkan faktor-faktor determinan lain (jenis kelamin, umur, hipertensi,
merokok dan aktivitas fisik) tidak menunjukan hubungan yang signifikan.

<b>Abstract</b><br>
Elderly Diabetes Mellitus patient visits has increased by 30% in 2011 compare to
2010 at Jatinegara District Health Center. The research objective was to determine
prevalence and relationship of determinant factors with the incidence of Diabetes
Mellitus in the elderly. The design used in this study was cross sectional with
secondary data at Elderly care Jatinegara District Health Center. The result of this
study found a high prevalence of Diabetes Mellitus in the elderly that is equal to
26,8%. The analysis show that there is significant relationship (p value=0,003)
between obesity and Diabetes Mellitus (PR= 3,348). Whereas the other
determinan (sex, ages, hypertension, smoking dan physical activity) showed no
