Tembaga juga merupakan logam yang mempunyai ketahanan korosi yang tinggi serta daya hantar yang baik, banyak digunakan pada komponen listrik. Karena sifat mekanik dari kedua logam tersebut baik maka digabungkanlah material tersebut dengan proses pengelesan friction stir welding, dimana FSW merupakan proses welding yang sangat ramah lingkungan, dan tidak memerlukan banyak energi panas. Untuk melihat hasil ketahan korosi pada kedua logam dilakukan pengujian polarisasi yang menghasilkan diagram tafel. Dan untuk melihat bagaimana struktur mikro pada hasil pengelasan dilakukan pengujian metalografi pada spesimen alumunium, tembaga, dan hasil lasan. Pada hasil laju korosi spesimen pengelasan didapatkan nilai laju korosi yang lebih tinggi daripada tembaga dan lebih rendah daripada nilai laju korosi alumunium.<hr>
<b>ABSTRACT</b><b>Aluminum also has a high corrosion resistance and high conductivity. Copper is also a metal that has high corrosion resistance and good conductivity, cooper used in electrical components . Because of the mechanical properties of both metals are good then materials are joinning with friction stir welding methode, FSW is a welding process that eco-friendly and does not require a lot of heat energy . To view the resilience of corrosion in both metal testing Tafel polarization which generates diagrams . And to see how the microstructure at the weld Metallographic testing on specimens of aluminum , copper , and the welding part. On the results, corrosion rate on welding specimen has the corrosion rate values higher than the copper and lower than aluminum.;Aluminum also has a high corrosion resistance and high conductivity. Tembaga juga merupakan logam yang mempunyai ketahanan korosi yang tinggi serta daya hantar yang baik, banyak digunakan pada komponen listrik.
