<b>ABSTRACT</b><br>
This dissertation is to discuss on a lifted flame phenomenon, which is useful to prolong nozzle burner time usage. The research was conducted by experimental and computational methods. It has been found that there is a correlation between lifted-flame and air-fuel mixing patterns. The lifted-flame condition can be achieved at 32 % of Reynolds number by cone nozzles lower than straight nozzles. Moreover, the sensitivity of lifted-distance of cone nozzle is 125 % higher than straight nozzle. The co-flow of air and gas affect the improvement of the lift-off stability, especially for air with the direction incoming flow 45° of gas stream resulted decreasing the lifted distance at 31% of quiescence-air condition. Therefore, the cone nozzles with 45° direction flow between air and gas is recommended to be used in diffusion combustion system.</i></description><identifier>https://lib.ui.ac.id/detail?id=20277932</identifier><recordID>20277932</recordID></dc>
