penggunaan kompor gas 3 Kg yaitu katup tabung baja gas 3 Kg. Tujuan penelitian
ini adalah mengetahui kesesuaian teknis dan tingkat kualitas katup terhadap standar
yang diberlakukan wajib oleh pemerintah, yaitu SNI 1591:2008 Penelitian ini
merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan cara melakukan uji visual, dimensi
konstruksi dan uji tekanan sesuai dengan standar teknis yang berlaku SNI
1591:2008. Hasil penelitian dengan 30 sampel yang diambil secara acak menyatakan
bahwa pada uji visual semua sampel setara dengan 100 persen adalah lulus uji,
untuk uji dimensi konstruksi didapati hanya 20 persen sampel yang lulus uji,
sedangkan untuk uji tekanan sebanyak 90 persen sampel lulus uji. Penelitian ini
menyarankan untuk pihak produsen, pemerintah dan masyarakat aktif berperan serta
untuk selalu meningkatkan pengawasan dan pemeliharaan teknis katup mulai dari
pemilihan bahan baku,produksi,distribusi hingga penggunaan.

<b>ABSTRACT</b><br>
This thesis will explain further about the technical safety of valve of LPG steel
cylinder 3 Kg. The purpose of this study was to determine the technical suitability,
level of quality and the product safety of the valves to the compulsory standards
imposed by the government, namely SNI 1591:2008 This research is a qualitative
research by conducting visual tests, dimensions, construction and pressure test in
accordance with applicable technical standards of SNI 1591:2008 . The results with
30 samples taken randomly stating that the visual testing of all samples was
equivalent to 100 percent passed the test, for the construction dimensional test, from
the test sample, found only 20 percent who passed the test, while for the pressure
test as much as 90 percent of the samples passed the test. This research suggests that
for the producers, governments and communities to participate actively to improve
oversight and technical maintenance of valves ranging from raw material selection,
