Ketidakseimbangan dalam pemerataan kerja di line produksi bisa menjadi
masalah bagi organisasi ataupun perusahaan, proses produksi yang tidak efektif dan
efisien menghasilkan pemborosan yang dibebankan sebagai biaya produksi. Lean
manufacturing adalah pendekatan untuk mengefisienkan sistem dengan memahami
gambaran sistem umum aktivitas produksi pada aliran informasi dan material di
lantai produksi dan melibatkan perubahan, meningkatkan proses, produktivitas
dengan mereduce waste didukung dengan budaya kerja 5S agar menciptakan
suasana kerja yang kondusif.
Melalui penelitian ini, aktual proses produksi dipetakan kedalam sebuah
peta ?VSM? (Value Strem Mapping) dan akan terlihat aktifitas produksi di dalam
pembagian kerja manpower produksi pada masing-masing work station.
Selanjutnya menentukan proses apa yang harus diperbaiki dengan menggunakan
tools Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) dibandingkan dengan pencapaian target
takt time, baru kemudian dilakukan poses perbaikan line balancing di area produksi
assy outer mirror D17D.
Hasil dari penelitian menyarankan bahwa perusahaan harus merencanakan
line balancing karena dapat mereduce bottle neck yang ada. Pencapaian target takt
time dan peningkatan produktifitas di dalam line produksi assy outer mirror D17D
akan dibuktikan di dalam penelitian ini.

<b>ABSTRACT</b><br>
Imbalance in task distribution in the production line could be a problem for
the organization or company, ineffective and inefficien production process will
generate waste which is charged as production costs. Lean manufacturing is an
approach to streamline the system to understand overview of the general system of
production activity on the flow of information and materials on the production floor
and involves change, perbaiki processes, increase productivity with reduce waste
supported by 5S workplace culture in order to create a conducive working
atmosphere.
Through this study, the actual production process is mapped into a map
"VSM" (Value Strem Mapping) and will be seen in production activities in the
division of labor manpower production in each work station. Subsequently
determine what process should be perbaikid by using the tools Failure Mode Effect
Analysis (FMEA) compared to the achievement of the target takt time, and then
carried out line balancing poses perbaikanin the production line area assy outer
Mirror D17D.
Results of the study suggest that the company should plan line balancing
because it can reduce existing bottle neck. Achievement of the target takt time and
increase productivity in the production line assy outer mirror D17D will be proved
