  • The development of activated carbon from coconut shell charcoal has been investigated by using physical and chemistry method to determine the influence of activation parameters in term of temperature, Nitrogen gas pressure and time period on the pore structure of the activated carbon. The coconut shell charcoal process at the temperature of about 800oC for 5 hours. The charcoal was activated by pyrolysis process at various temperature (600,700 and 800oC) for 2 hours, The results showed that the pores size were reduced and distributed uniformly as the activation parameters are increased. Pore size and surface area Characterized by BET method, and performance supercapacitor characterized by cyclic voltammetry.
