Sistem pengelolaan yang berlaku di Politeknik Negeri Lhokseumawe saat ini masih semi manual, dalam sistem ini masih terdapat banyak kekurangan, misalnya masih membutuhkan banyak tempat dalam penyimpanan arsip. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dibuat sebuah sistem Aplikasi Elektronik Arsip yang disebut dengan E- Arsip. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengamanan data menggunakan metode DES dalam&#xA0; mengenkripsi dan dekripsi file atau dokumen yang di apload dalam Aplikasi E-Arsip Pada Politeknik Negeri Lhokseumawe. Pengujian selanjutnya yaitu untuk mengetahui kualitas jaringan pada aplikasi android menggunakan logcat dan aplkasi meteor. Proses pembuatan aplikasi ini menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Java, Java digunakan untuk membangun aplikasi Android, sedangkan basis data yang digunakan adalah mysql. Dengan demikian sistem aplikasi E-Arsip berbasis Android, yang dapat digunakan secara langsung pada Politeknik Negeri Lhokseumawe untuk&#xA0; membantu proses penyelenggara kearsipan yang sesuai dengan prinsip. Nantinya dalam proses pencarian data dan informasi arsip menjadi lebih mudah, aman, dan lebih akurat.AbstractLhokseumawe State Polytechnic is a higher education institution in Aceh, which contains archives management. The current management system at Lhokseumawe State Polytechnic is still semi-manual, in this system there are still many shortcomings, for example it still requires a lot of space in archive storage. To solve this problem, an Electronic Archive Application system called E-Archive was created. This study aims to test data security using the DES method in encrypting and decrypting files or documents uploaded in the E-Archives Application at Lhokseumawe State Polytechnic. The next test is to determine the quality of the network on the android application using logcat and meteor applications. The process of making this application uses the Java programming language, Java is used to build Android applications, while the database used is mysql. Thus the E-Archives application system is based on Android, which can be used directly at Lhokseumawe State Polytechnic to assist the process of organizing archives in accordance with the principles.
