- Career selection is the determination or decision-making in matters liked by the individual that can bring progress and confidence in himself in the form of continuing studies and the choice of work that follows the potential and skills possessed by the individual. Good interpersonal communication skills are needed to improve students’ career choices. The research design used in this research is a quantitative methods. The population in this study were all class XII students of SMA, totaling 57 students. The sampel in this study amounted to 20 students who were taken using the proporsional ranndom sampling proporsi 35%. Based on the test results of simple linear regression analysis between interpersonal communication variabels and career selection variables, the significance value (Sig.) is 0.000 < 0.05, so they can conclude that Ha is accepted, which means “There is a significant positive effect between interpersonal communication on the selection students careers”. The influence of interpersonal communication on students’ career choices is 53.0%, while other variables influence 47% of students’ career choices.
