- Understanding communication is a negative reaction to anxiety experienced bysomeone in communicating in public and anxiety in interpersonal communication. Systematic desensitization techniques with the help of murottal Al-Qur'an can help minimize the anxiety level of students in communicating in public. The purpose of this study is to determine how effective and effective the systematic desensitization technique with the help of murottal is in reducing the understanding of communication experienced by students. The research design used in this study was a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects ofthis study were students of class VIII A to class VIII D at SMP. Sampling using purposive sampling technique, namely by paying attention to certain criteria, there are 10 students who meet the criteria and then divided into two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. Based on the results of data analysis using the Independent-Sample T Test on the basis of decisionmaking on the Independent Sample T-Test, it is known that the value of Sig (2-tailed) in the equal variances assumed or experimental group is 0.334 > 0.05 and Sig. (2-tailed) in the equal variances not assumed or the control group is 0.346 > 0.05. It is concluded that the results of the hypothesis of the decision of the Independent Sample T-Test test are H0 accepted and Ha rejected, which means that there is a difference in the average results of the 2 groups. And the final result of the research hypothesis is that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which reads that the systematic desensitization technique research with the help of murottal Al-Qur'an is effective in reducing communication comprehension.
