- Self-confidence for students is very important for their lives and affects their social and learning processes. Because not all students have good self-confidence, there must be students who feel that they don't have good self-confidence, so they don't feel confident to ask a question, let alone to express an opinion about a material that has been studied in class, feel inferior, afraid of being wrong, and fear of being unappreciated. The type of design used in this research is a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. This study's population was students of Class XII TKJ SMK Roudhotus Nasyi'in Mojokerto. The data collection method in this study was the Likert Scale.Based on the research results from the group counselling process to increase self-confidence in students. The initial average value of the posttest results of students included in the medium to low category. The experimental group had an average pretest and posttest result of 222 < 226 after being given treatment through group counselling using cognitive dispute techniques and assertive training. The pretest and posttest results were analyzed using a paired sample t-test to determine the difference between before and after giving treatment to the paired sample; the average value of the experimental group was 221.60. Then after being given treatment, the post-test value of this experimental group increased to 276.40. Students can conclude that group counselling using cognitive dispute techniques and assertive training is quite effective in increasing the level of self-confidence of students at Roudhotun Nasyi'in Vocational School.
