Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan persepsi perawat tentang pencegahan phlebitis dengan prosedur pemasangan infus di Ruang Nusa Indah 2 dan Ruang Mawar 2 RSPI Prof. Dr. Sulianti Saroso Jakarta Utara Tahun 2014. Desain penelitian yang di gunakan adalah cross sectional. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner dan lembar observasi SPO. Populasi berjumlah 36 responden. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu 36 responden dengan total populasi menggunakan uji chi square. Hasil bivariat menunjukan ada hubungan persepsi perawat tentang pencegahan phlebitis dengan prosedur pemasangan infus di ruang nusa indah 2 dan ruang mawar 2 RSPI Prof. Dr. Sulianti Saroso tahun 2014 dengan Pvalue 0,054. Diharapkan penelitian ini dapat dijadikan acuan bagi pengambil kebijakan khususnya untuk dijadikan bahan evaluasi dalam pelaksaaan standar asuhan keperawatan. Abstract : Phlebitis is an inflammation in the intima of the vein caused by mechanical, chemical irritation of bacterial infection that occur after applying of the IV line in the venous intima on 48 – 72 hours. The number of patients that receiving infusion therapy is estimated at around 25 million patients per year in UK, during the treatment 90% patients will be risk of getting complication on applying of the IV line. The difference in perception and non compliance with the SPO is one of the causes of phlebitis. The purpose of this research is to determine the relationship of the nurse’s perception about phlebitis prevention in the procedures of applying IV line at Nusa Indah 2 ward and Mawar 2 ward RSPI Prof. Dr. Sulianti Saroso on 2014. The design of this research is descriptive correlation with cross sectional approach. Data collect using questionnaire and standard procedure observation sheet. The population is 36 with a total population retrieval technique using a chi square Bivariate results shows a relationship between nurses perception and IV line precodures at nusa indah 2 ward and mawar 2 ward rspi prof. dr. sulianti saroso on 2014 with p value 0,054.
