This research aimed to know the best comparison between Carbopol 940 and Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) gel base affecting the physical stability of methanol extract and fraction of kesum leaves gel by Simplex Lattice Design (SLD) method. Gels were prepared into three variation base such as gel A (100% Carbopol - 0% HPMC); gel B (0% Carbopol - 100% HPMC); and gel C (50% Carbopol &amp;ndash; 50% HPMC). According to SLD method, the optimum combination obtained among the basis were 100% Carbopol - 0% HPMC for Kesum leaves methanol extract gel and 10% Carbopol &amp;ndash; 90% HPMC for Kesum leaves methanol fraction gel. Gel that was formulated were tested their physical stability, including adhesive ability, spreadability and pH. The results were analyzed using One sample t- test and was known there was no difference of the physical stability between Kesum leaves methanol extract gel and Kesum leaves methanol fraction gel. &amp;nbsp;</description><publisher lang="en-US">Directorate of Research and Community Engagement, Universitas Indonesia</publisher><date>2017-03-07</date><type>Journal:Article</type><type>Other:info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion</type><type>Other:</type><type>File:application/pdf</type><identifier>http://psr.ui.ac.id/index.php/journal/article/view/3288</identifier><identifier>10.7454/psr.v3i2.3288</identifier><source lang="en-US">Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research (PSR); Vol 3, No 2 (2016); 72-79</source><source>2477-0612</source><source>2407-2354</source><language>eng</language><relation>http://psr.ui.ac.id/index.php/journal/article/view/3288/595</relation><relation>http://psr.ui.ac.id/index.php/journal/article/downloadSuppFile/3288/253</relation><relation>http://psr.ui.ac.id/index.php/journal/article/downloadSuppFile/3288/254</relation><relation>http://psr.ui.ac.id/index.php/journal/article/downloadSuppFile/3288/255</relation><relation>http://psr.ui.ac.id/index.php/journal/article/downloadSuppFile/3288/256</relation><relation>http://psr.ui.ac.id/index.php/journal/article/downloadSuppFile/3288/257</relation><relation>http://psr.ui.ac.id/index.php/journal/article/downloadSuppFile/3288/258</relation><rights lang="en-US">Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work (See The Effect of Open Access).</rights><recordID>article-3288</recordID></dc>
