  • Background: Efforts to improve the quality of concrete is accomplished by mixing the other ingredients in the mix. One is the addition of fiber is expected to increase the tensile strength of concrete materials and daktility. Purpose: To know the benefits of a concrete arch plate with a mixture of coir fiber. To know that the addition of coir fibers on unreinforced concrete roof plate can increase the maximum load on the concrete roof plate. Methods: The methodology of this research is to prepare materials, making the sample experiment, treating the sample trial and then tested with the experimental samples of concrete test equipment. The results: Slump test results, the value of the fresh concrete slump for the addition of coconut fiber variation of 0.5% was 3.2 cm for the addition of coconut fiber variation of 1.5% is 3 cm and the variation of 3% of its slump value was 1.2 cm. The maximum flexural strength variation found in the addition of 3% coconut fiber with a radius of 40 cm plate, is equal to 0.606 MPa and this is because the amount of fiber that is added to fill the voids properly. Conclusion: At the maximum load test results, the flexural strength values are at least 40 cm radius with Mixed 0.5% coconut fiber that is equal to 0.173 MPa, while the maximum load test results with flexural strength values are at the greatest radius of 40 cm with a mixture fiber coconut 3% is equal 0.606 MPa.
