Atik Triratnawati, MA</creator><subject>ETD</subject><description>Background: Smoking while drinking coffee at coffee shop every morning are behavior of Melayu society in Bengkalis, and it became habit. Those habit facilitate person to interact one to another. Tar and nicotine in cigarette and caffeine in coffee conformity impair health, especially in cardiovascular system. So qualitative study have to be done, to explore the intention of people to come to coffee shop. Objective: To explore the intention of people to come to coffee shop. Methods: Descriptive explorative research with qualitative approach. Subjects were five visitors of coffee shop who smoke and drink coffee, two visitiors of coffee shop who don&#xE2;&#xFFFD;&#xFFFD;t smoke and don&#xE2;&#xFFFD;&#xFFFD;t drink coffee, two coffee shop owners and a coffee shop worker in Bengkalis. Samples were taken by purposive sampling approach, then the research did until get saturated data. Data collection by participant observation and indepth interview. Data analysis were done with content analysis, organize the data systematicaly begin by coding, category, then theme the result of the research. Results &amp; Discussion: This research showed the intention of people to come to coffee shop, they are: having breakfast (drink, eat, smoke), meeting (chat, discuss, lobby, campaign), and looking for chance (information, relation, promotion). Those intention are influenced by attitude, subjective norm, and perceive control.
