Our aim is to describe the main characteristics of a project in which we have been working for more than three years. RCLIS (Research in Computing, Library and Information Science) is an international co-operative effort to develop a digital library for Information Science. The initiative has two main objectives. Firstly, it tries to compile and to place in the public domain metadata about research documents. The data is freely available for public and private, commercial and no-commercial, purposes. It will also serve as a testbed for digital library research. Secondly to facilitate the access to the freely documents available on the Internet, in order to increase their visibility. RCLIS deals with traditional documents like conference proceedings, articles published in journals and research reports.</description><date>2003</date><type>Journal:Proceeding</type><type>PeerReview:PeerReviewed</type><type>File:application/pdf</type><identifier>http://eprints.rclis.org/4207/1/LIDA.pdf</identifier><type>File:application/vnd.ms-powerpoint</type><identifier>http://eprints.rclis.org/4207/2/subirats.ppt</identifier><identifier> Barrueco, Jos&#xE9;-Manuel and Subirats-Coll, Imma RCLIS: towards a digital library for Information Science., 2003 .
