  • Abstract: This study aims to determine: (1) the effect of the experience of industrial work practices toward work readiness of SMKN students in Makassar, (2) the effect of learning independence toward work readiness of SMKN students in Makassar , (3) the influence of occupational information toward work readiness of SMKN students in Makassar, (4) the influence of the experience of industrial work practices, learning independence and occupational information together toward work readiness of SMKN students in Makassar. The study population was SMKN students in Makassar, a sample of 84 students. The variables in this study are industrial work practices, learning independence, occupational information, and work readiness. This research is a quantitative descriptive research. The analysis used descriptive analysis, test requirements analysis and to test hypotheses. Descriptive analysis results show; (1) the experience of industrial work practices in Makassar SMKN students is in the very good category, (2) the learning independence of SMKN students in Makassar is in the good category, the occupational for the SMKN students Makassar is in the good category, and (3) work readiness of SMKN students in Makassar is in the very good category. The results of the hypothesis test analysis showed: (1) experience of industrial work practices had a positive and significant effect toward work readiness of SMKN students in Makassar, (2) learning independence had a positive and significant effect toward work readiness of SMKN students in Makassar, (3) occupational information of work has a positive and significant effect toward work readiness of SMKN students in Makassar, and (4) experience of industrial work practices, independence of learning, and occupational information together has a positive and significant effect toward work readiness of SMKN students in Makassar.
