- Impact tests have been performed infusion of fresh coriander leaves to the reduction of triglycerides and VLDL (Very Low Density Lipoprotein) male guinea pig blood serum. Plant celery (Apium graviolens L) contains flavonoids (apiin) which berkasiat apigenin anti-oxidant and a potent hipotensif, also contains some vitamins A, B and C to enable the use of plants as drugs that lower triglyceride levels and VLDL. This study aims to determine the effect the provision of fresh celery leaf infusion on VLDL triglyceride guinea pig blood serum of hyperlipidemia and to compare the effects of celery leaf infusion with the drug gemfibrozil antihiperlipidemina. This research was conducted by using 30 male guinea pig tail with 400- 500 g of body weight and 3-month-old, randomly divided into 5 groups (I, II, III, IV and V). in 30 guinea pig's tail is made hyperlipidemia in guinea pigs induced by giving 20% fat and 1% goat egg yolk for 14 days. Initial levels of serum triglycerides and VLDL in the blood of guinea pigs measured and used as normal levels., Then given the treatment to be given aquadest group I, group II was given 0.3% suspension gemfibrozil, group III, IV and V are given infusion of fresh celery leaves each with a dose 800 mg / kgBW, 1600 mg / kgBW, and 2400 mg / kgBW, and triglyceride and VLDL levels measured 6 hours later. According test ANAVA (Variansi Analysis) showed a significant difference between each treatment, where the F count is greater than the F table (P <0.05). This showed significant differences between groups, then conducted further tests to determine differences between groups - these groups by using the Tukey HSD method, namely the provision of celery leaf infusion dose of 800 mg / kgBW been able to decrease the effects menberikan VLDL triglycerides and guinea pig blood serum. Where the initial levels (normal) triglycerides and VLDL respectively - each 36 mg / dl and 7 mg / dl, and after the infusion dose of celery is 800 mg / kgBW, triglyceride levels and VLDL from guinea pigs, respectively - each to be 59.5 mg / dl and 12 mg / dl, so the dose of 800 mg / kgBW is sufficient to give effect to the reduction in VLDL triglycerides and blood serum.
