The purpose of this study is to know the density of orangutan population based on number of its nest. This study was cunducted using the line transect method. The result showed that average number of the nest were found as 100,83 in Marike and 24,33 in Sikundur Kecil with density of population as 2,32 individual/km2 in Marike and 0,56 individual/km2 in Sikundur Kecil. Nest position was dominated by position II (the nest is in the middle or side of branching without using the tree or branch of the other tree) namely 81 nests in Marike and 16 nests in Sikundur Kecil. Choosing the nest based on altitude was found most on &gt;10-15 m namely 58 nests in Marike, while in Sikundur Kecil were found on &gt;15-20 m and &gt;20-25 m as 10 nest for each altitude. Choosing the nest based on tree species were found as 18 families in Marike and 13 families in Sikundur Kecil. Marike was dominated by Lauraceae as 16,76% is more than Dipterocarpaceae and Lauraceae for each family as 13,51%. Sikundur Kecil was dominated by Dipterocarpaceae, Lauraceae, and Meliaceae for each family as 16,67%.</description><description>060805022</description><contributor>Abdullah, Asril</contributor><contributor>Arlen Hanel J.</contributor><date>2012-02-27T02:28:54Z</date><date>2012-02-27T02:28:54Z</date><date>2012-02-27</date><type>Other:Student Papers</type><identifier>Muswita Widya Rahma</identifier><identifier>http://repository.usu.ac.id/handle/123456789/31214</identifier><language>ind</language><recordID>123456789-31214</recordID></dc>
