The phototherapy ;Nith near distance could increase the effectiveness of phctotherapy . Objective : To compare the effectivenass of phototherapy with 40 cm and 60 cm distance toward bilirubin's lowering concentration rapidity in Banyurnas Hospital. Methods : The research rnethods is using Quasi Experimental method whicn designs in to groups of pre test and post test. Results The statistic result showed was 0.687 and for p was p was 0.496, higher than ? = 0,05. There was no siqnificant difference between value of 40 mm distance phototherapy and 60 crn distance phototherapy. The therapy was equally effective in lowering bilirubin's concentrauon in hyperbilirubirt's newborn Concluslon The study snowec the 40 cm distance phototherapy and 60 cm distance phototherapy. The therapy was equally effective for lowerinq the bilirubin’s concentration in hyperbitirubin's newborn.
