Mahfud Effendi, M.M The purpose of this research is an order to know the influence of strategy practice in Means-Ends Analysis against ability of student mathematical problem solving with subject of straight line equation in class VIII State of Junior High 18Malang This research will be using experiment method. Experiment design used is ”One-Group Pretest-post test Design”. Experiment design One-Group Pretest-post test Design is contains three main phase, with three main phase is pretest in order to know preliminary data from dependent variable, treatment form independent variable that is strategy practice MEA, and post test in order to know the final data and saw the influence from independent variable against dependent variable. Thus the influence of treatment (independent variable) determined by comparing (comparation) the result of pretest and post test score (Setyosari, 2012: 174). In research take a class VIII-I that contains 37 students from 2 class that offered. From that 37 students there a 2 ABK students that pretest and post test score is not entering in data analysis because can disturb analysis process. Based on research result it can be concluded that based from the result of before and after the implementation of strategy practice MEA, the using of this strategy practice MEA has a strong influence against the result ability of student mathematical problem solving. This is indicated with correlation Pearson score about 0,543. While the views of decision-making from the score of |t_hitung |(14,934) >t_table (1,69) and probability score (0,000)< 0,05 so that it can be concluded if there are influence of strategy practice MEA against ability of student mathematical problem solving
