One of the biggest is the leading cause of death from breast cancer. Breast cancer is a malignant tumor that grows in the breast tissue. There are several types of treatment in patients of breast cancer, one of which was chemotherapy. However, the treatment can cause side effects to the detriment of patients. Therefore, nowadays a sought-after alternative treatment using natural materials. One of the plants that can be used is mahogany (Swietenia mahagoni). &#xD; Objectives: This research aims to determine the anticancer activity of the ethanol extract of mahogany seeds against breast cancer cell MCF-7.&#xD; Research Methods: The method used for the extraction process is remaceration. The solvent used is ethanol 96%. Identification method of the mahogany seed compounds is using Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC). The cytotoxicity is measured using the MTT Assay method. The potential presence of cytotoxicity be known after reading absorbance data by using ELISA reader. The data was processed using probit analysis in SPSS to determine the magnitude of the IC50 values, so that its effectiveness can be determined against breast cancer cells MCF-7. Based on the National Cancer Institute (NCI), an extract of the active anticancer activity expressed in IC50 value of &lt; 30 &#xB5;g/mL.&#xD; Results and Conclusions: The results of the identification compounds showed that mahagony seed contains alkaloids, flavonoids, terpenoids and antraquinon. IC50 values obtained from ethanol extract of mahogany seeds is 7448.288 &#xB5;g/mL.
