- Due to the scarcity of water resources, an effort is needed to meet these water needs.To fulfil the need of 2,52 1/det and 2,05 1/det/ha water in Bolaang Mongondow Regency – North Sulawesi, a construction of Poigar 3 retention basin was planned. Through the NRECA method, the analysis results showed that the dependable flow was 0,1493 million m3/year. To design the basin and the spillway, the researcher used the hydrology data of flood discharge, the HSS Nakayasu method with the 50-years flood discharge plan in the amount of 1,925 m3/det, and the routing that resulted in the amount of 1,417 m3/det. The basin’s maximum storage capacity was 9.702,43 m3. Meanwhile, both of the spillway’s height the spillway threshold’s width was 6 metre.
