HusnulYaqin, M.Ed.&#xD; &#xD; Keywords: Thought, Reform, Islamic Education&#xD; &#xD; Islamic education in Indonesia is generally still traditional. The curriculum used in Islamic educational institutions is still dichotomized between the science of religion and general science. The orientation of teaching still rests on the mastery of the material through the verbalistic all-round system of memorization. That is able to say but do not understand the purpose, let alone mengamalkanya. In reality Islamic education has not been able to instill Islamic teachings values to the students so as to cause moral decadence among students. Through the thought of Muhaimin is expected to bring changes to Islamic education to a better, and more creative, innovative with a fixed commitment to its foundational dimensions as a foundation for the development of Islamic education.&#xD; This research is included in library research, the method used to collect data is descriptive qualitative and in analyzing it using content analysis. This method is used to describe the idea of Muhaimin about his work or other science that peel it. In order to get the full picture.&#xD; The result of this research between shows that thinking reform of Islamic education perspective Prof. Dr. H. Muhaimin, MA is developing Islamic education so as to have a significant contribution to the development of society and the development of science, technology and develop the curriculum of PAI ideas of renewal begins from the problems that occur in the environment around the learner and then incorporated into the material PAI. Furthermore, the development of PAI teacher quality can be done by improving the personal, religious, religious, pedagogic-religious and religious religious competencies.
