- The problem of waste in the West Lombok regency area, especially in the Gunungsari area, is quite worrying lately. Piles of garbage are scattered in strategic points which are more dominant in public areas such as in markets, roadsides, and tourist destination places. Increased waste production in Gunungsari village is caused by population density so that the level of consumption of Gunungsari villagers in industrial products is very high. This plastic waste problem can be reduced if there is a good plastic waste processing technology in Gunungsari village. This technology will be effective if implemented through a training program and field training involving elements of village organizations. The KKN-PPM activity aims to minimize plastic waste through the application of plastic waste processing technology using Portable Garbage Reducer-Energy Producers (Po GREP) that are inexpensive and easily applied by the community. Specific targets to be achieved through the KKN PPM Program activities are: (a) minimizing plastic waste that is difficult to decompose, especially in Gunungsari, West Lombok District, (b) increasing the cost efficiency of waste management due to the use of waste management technology that is relatively inexpensive and easily applied by community, (c) make improvements to the technological waste processing system through plastic waste processing using Portable Garbage Reducer-Energy Producers (Po GREP) to increase family income, (d) increase community participation to be more enthusiastic in processing plastic waste using Portable Garbage Reducer -Energy Producers (Po GREP), (e) building effective partnerships and collaborations between Universities, Local Governments and communities in Gunungsari, West Lombok Regency. The KKN-PPM activities are planned for 3 months and will be conducted in the even semester of the 2019/2020 academic year. The KKN PPM activity method is a workshop method in the form of intensive training and assistance to produce products in the form of crude oil from plastic waste. Based on the training results obtained, the level of understanding and skills of the community in Gunungsari Village related to processing plastic waste into fuel is still lacking, so there is a need for assistance in processing plastic waste into fuel through PoGREP.
