  • The level of heavy metal disposal in waters from industries as well as traditional harbor is assumed beyond the natural condition due to domestic and industrial effluent. One of the effective ways to find out heavy metal accumulation in waters for certain period of time is by analyzing the concentration of heavy metal in soft tissue of bivalve and water taken from the polluted area. In this study, the atomic absorption spectrophotometer to examine heavy metal concentration in soft tissue of Anadara granosa and A. inflata and the surface water was applied. The experiment was set by complete random design. The result showed that Cd concentration in soft tissue of Anadara granosa and A. inflata were 13.67-80.03 and 8.03-74.70 mg/kg dry weight respectively, and 0 ??? 0.579 mg/l in surface water. Pb concentration was 6.53 ??? 46.85 and 29.77 ??? 42.83 mg/kg dry weight foe A. granosa and A. inflata and 0.0748 ??? 0.2493 mg/l in surface water. Highest concentration of Sn found in A. granosa and A. inflata were 31.31 ??? 102.83 and 49.48 ??? 137.84 mg/kg dry weight, and 0.87 -1.6 mg/l in surface water. Statistical test gave no significant difference between sample absorption on Cd, Pb and Sn. All concentration of Cd, Pb, and Sn were exceeding from recommended levels.
