  • The level of patient adherence in the treatment of HIV-AIDS in Indonesia is very low. There are many factors that can affect it. The purpose of this study was to explain the relationship of family support, age, sex, education level, income and length of ARV’s program with the level of ARV therapy adherence in Poli Cendana Ngudi Waluyo Hospital. This research is an observational analytic study with cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all HIV AIDS patients in the Poli Cendana Ngudi Waluyo Wlingi Hospital of 163 people. The sample in this study was 30 people suitable with inclusion criteria. The sampling method used was purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire containing the characteristics of respondents and an MMAS-8 questionnaire to identify respondent compliance. Analysis of data using the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test with p≤0.05. The results showed that there was a relationship between family support, age, level of education, income and length of time following the ARV program with adherence. Whereas gender is proven to have no relationship with adherence. So it is recommended to the hospital to maximize assistance to HIV AIDS patients and improve health education to the patient's family so that patient compliance in undergoing ARV therapy increases.   Key words: family support, adherence, ARV
