  • Resiliency is the endurance of someone who used to handle the pressure of pressure. Teenagers said resilient if teens have the ability to interact with the surrounding environment, problem-solving skills, self-reliant and have a sensitivity on the purpose and its future. While stress is the failure of young people in adjusting themselves to the various demands of the demands of their environment both physically and psychologically. Resiliency and stress is an important factor and closely related in a life. Stress is high without the resiliency to make teenagers broken home become irritable, frustrated, become aggressive or rebellious, does not have a definite future goals for their future and to make teens tend to withdraw from friends or the surrounding environment. Another case that occurred in adolescents who have a broken home resiliency so that the stress which is likely to occur can be minimized. The research design used in this research is non-experimental studies with interval data types. Where is the independent variable (X) is the resiliency and dependent variable (Y) is the stress. The instrument used in the form of Likert scale and the research was conducted on December 14 to 20 March 2006 on the existing junior high school adolescents in Pati. From the data analysis in this study indicate that there is a strong negative relationship signifikant (r = -0.574, p <0.000) between resiliency and stress. This means the higher the resiliency of youth has broken home, the lower teens experience stress. With determinant coefficient (r 2) of 0.329 and effective contribution (r 2 x 100%) = 32.9%.
